Arrived home from 3 weeks in our camper wandering France, yesterday about 9pm.
Dry and cloudy after cool night (3-4°). Went for a walk around lake and back through St Saturnin. Had coffee and off at 12 to campsite at Dun-le-Palestel, south of Crozant, NE of Limoges, arrived 5.45pm. 13° on the way past Tours. Sunny as we travelled.
Lovely site, high (1100ft), beautiful views. Run by young Dutch couple, friendly. New toilet block, site only in third season, from open field. Lovely sunset.
Parked overnight in camper at Poole Ferry Port for 8.30am ferry – 1 minute drive to check in. Paid £10, and discovered showers/toilets included!
Off ferry 1.40pm prompt (French time). On to Le Mans but stopped at Auchon on southern outskirts of Cherbourg for food.
Arrived St Saturnin in outskirts, after tour of suburbs trying to find it in the dark. €10, empty, very good and clean. Rained overnight but we were tired and slept well.
