Arrived Heligan Camp Site about 4pm – rain had mostly cleared and a fine, though cold, evening. Had been windy on the way, even the Rapido wasn’t rock-solid.
Met couple with 2-berth Orion and old CRV!
Very pleasant site with view to east to sea, unfortunately later obscured by later arrivals.
Tuesday. Fine start but rain forecast later. Short walk to explore immediate surroundings, then a couple of hours heavy rain over lunch, then fine afternoon. Walked to Mevagissey pm, back by alternative route.
Wednesday. Fine start but rain forecast. Walked to Pentewen via cycle path, quite long. Started raining, had coffee and subsequently pastie. Returned to camper in drizzle via public footpath.
Thursday. Fine start, though cold wind. To gardens, returned to camper for lunch, then back to garden.
Friday. To Shirley in Newquay, via Morrison’s. Pleasant lunch, then home by 7.30pm.
