Saturday 22nd July 2021 – Left storage 12 noon, traffic bad around Bournemouth etc but arrived 2.45pm
Pleasant flat site. Rang Graham but problems with line but managed to arrange to walk over to their cottage tomorrow morning.
Sunday 25th July 2021 – Bacon & egg breakfast and walked over to Gray & Lana’s cottage. Very modern and pleasant. Lana not well and Gray not so good either, so not very active this week. We will probably only see them a little. Walked back through forest – weather doubtful, cloudy with threats of rain.
Monday 26th July 2021 – To Lymington, walk to quay, then along river, then 30 min boat trip. Warm and sunny. Back to CL, then a Pinwood Pipes Zoom.
Tuesday 27th July 2021 – Rained and thunder overnight. Cooler. Slow start, to Tesco in New Milton for food and fuel. Lunch at CL then 5 mile circular in forest pm. Weather very variable, from warm and sunny to threatening clouds.
Wednesday 28th July 2021 – Tired after walk yesterday. To Beaulieu, walked round village then to Buckler’s Hard, about 2 miles. Weather dry and sunny though increasingly windy. To Gray and Lana for fish and chips in the evening.
Thursday 29th July 2021 – To Exbury Gardens, huge! Weather variable, but dry. Exhausted.
Friday 30th July 2021 – Wet and windy overnight, rain cleared but still very breezy. Lazy morning, then off to Burley. 4 mile walk around village followed by ice cream!
Saturday 31st July 2021 – Up at 7am, and away at 9am! Discovered scratch on caravan just before leaving. Slow journey, dropped van off at storage about 1.30pm, then home.
