Packed up and set off for site near Giverny. Car apparently OK at first, but after about 50 miles clutch started slipping again.
I suspect it is slipping imperceptibly, heating up and then slipping badly when stressed, eg on an incline.
Returned to Amiens and set up again on site, same plot!
Went to Honda agent, it will cost €950!
Had debated long what to do, decided best get repair and continue holiday without worrying.
Will be done hopefully Thursday/Friday, but might not be till Monday if spares don’t arrive promptly. They are apparently available.
Now looking at how we might spend next few days – seems to be plenty to see, weather OK and site good.
