Much colder than of late, we’ll below seasonal average. Bits of rain too, but we managed to escape most of it.
Took car to workshop, went on to local museum, mostly paintings and sculptures. Interesting, and warm!
Had lunch in a pizzeria which had no pizzas! Chef ill.
Went back to finish seeing museum, then brief food shop, and called at workshop on way back. Gearbox removed, clutch dismantled. It is engagement/disengagement mechanism that is worn, preventing full engagement, hence slipping under stress. Will hopefully be finished tomorrow.
Caravan electrics – it is the battery charger that is faulty, but I can turn this off and use mains electrics still, except water heater which is fed by same circuit breaker. All essentials are battery run, but all low consumption so hopefully can use for several days before battery needs charging. Caravan Club suggest buying external battery charger to top up from time to time.
Will take things day to day
