Set off 10am for Appleby – reasonable journey though busy at times.
Arrived Sawbridge Hall Farm CL but site sloping, very long grass and damp under. Tried setting up with wedges but these sunk in and could have become trapped under bodywork. Went to house and opted to park on level patch next to cattle grid.
Very pleasant young couple, chatted for a while.
