Another very cold night at Saumur. Walked into town and to Chateau, but I tripped and fell, grazed my left knuckles and cut right hand. Aborted visit to Chateau and went back to CCP site. Had coffee and set off for this place, another CCP site at 12.45pm.
Stopped off at Super U at Thouars for food, was going to find GPL station but it was getting late so didn’t. After rather longer journey than expected, arrive at 6pm. Remarkably mild !!!
Saturday 13th Nov. Slept well but I felt tired. Walked to boulangerie before breakfast, lazy morning. Causeway not accessible till this afternoon.
HOWEVER, when we went to causway it was covered !!! Went for walk around coast, in changeable weather, occasionally sunny, or drizzly, or cloudy … Later worked out that the tide was on its way down, and had we waited half an hour it would have been OK, but too late.
