Parts for clutch still haven’t arrived – release kit arrived last week, but remainder lost in transit. Didier has someone chasing it and he has also spoken to an ” inspecteur” in Honda emphasising our situation. It seems they have to track down this consignment, which may be in a lorry or at some other workshop. I suggested that another could be dispatched, but he said that he would then end up with a spare in stock which he doesn’t want. I pointed out that as it is not his fault, the second to arrive could be returned, but it seems this is not how they do things here. Parts may arrive tomorrow, or Wednesday, or ….
Checked at camping and we are OK staying longer.
Bought fan heater which later proved to have something loose rattling inside it – does nothing go right on this holiday!
Pm went to le Cite Souterrain at Naours, not far from here. Fascinating, originally a stone mine in the 3rd century, then from 9th century was developed as underground habitation for the local population because of unsettled times as invaders/brigands pillaging. Amazingly extensive.
Raining am, stopped, but started again heavily pm, hence visit to Naours.
