Good journey back to Calais yesterday and calm crossing. Managed to get 1.30pm ferry, so plenty of time before dark for nearly 3 hour cross country journey to Eastbourne – nightmare!
Stayed on site near Beachy Head – windy but OK. had been talking on journey about changing car for something cheaper, and lighter, and maybe downsizing to 2-berth Orion, and what was on the site? A 2-berth Orion! Friendly owners let us look round in the morning. Nice, roomier than I expected, but I don’t think is for us.
Rain, then cleared in afternoon, but forecast for more later. Wind got up as day progressed.
Went over to Graham and Lana, nice lunch and chat, left around 6.15.
Back at site, windier.
