Drove about 400kms today, couldn’t find stopping place for over 10kms, but finally did find rather scruffy “picnic area”. Off motorway after Tulela to this site, at end of very hairy rough track. Last bit particularly difficult with sharp bend downhill.
Idyllic spot hills, woods and cliffs. Spoke briefly to German owner (Spanish wife and at least one child), then walk down into gorge to river by old mill.
Not for the faint-hearted, but worth it! Not sure whether to stay tomorrow as well, rain forecast …
